Smooth Soul Online:
Welcome to Smooth Soul. This is the station where smooth and soul comes
together. Although we play a lot of jazz, this is not a jazz station. We also
play a lot of Neo-Soul, but it's not a Neo-Soul station. We'll add Classic Soul,
Motown, and anything else that moves you through the day, into the night, or
from mood to mood. Whether it's funky, laid back, quiet, sensual, or just sounds
good, we're playing it if it does something smooth for your soul.
We offer a smooth alternative to the predictable and the ordinary.
Our current featured artist is someone whose music I've listened to for more
than 25 years. I suppose I'm dating myself, but more importantly, I'm dating the
consistent musical contributions of the man who introduced us to both Kenny G
and Dave Koz. He also bridged the gap between contemporary jazz and R&B/funk for
his brand of fusion that is still refreshing the spectrum 3 decades later.
Although he has a new CD, called "Hear That", he has a lengthy body of work that
will be featured over the coming weeks, and I urge you to tune in and check out
the many dimensions of keyboardist, producer, and band leader, Jeff Lorber, this
week's featured artist.

By the way: looking for some compelling reading? My new book is now available for
purchase. Just click on the cover image and you can order yours today.
What's it about? It's original poetry and essays covering a wide range of
topics, including self-determination, love, and humanity from the
perspective of an enlightened African-American man.

share your comments.

Future Plans
Growth and expansion. We hope to eventually broadcast LIVE 24 hours with
a staff and a sales team. We'd like to add a talk program to the station, and
we'd also like to do some concerts, cruises, contests, and more. Basically,
anything you'd expect from a terrestrial station, but on a global scale. With
your support, it will all occur in due time.Happy
listening. John Marcus. Program Director.
